Miller: 7 year old interview
Miller: 7 years old
I can not believe Miller is 7!
He is 44 pounds. He can still wear size 5 clothes, but also 6-7. He wears a size 13 shoe.
He loses teeth all the time!
So much of what was true when he was 2 years old, is still true now! He still looooooves dogs, loves playing with fish, loves to snuggle, loves things in small form!
He can get completely lost in games with Bowen. They have 3 different "games" they play together and they just play for hours and hours. One is with "little legos", one is with picasso tiles and little animals, and one is with their stuffed animals that they call "neighborhood".
He plays outside all the time. He loves to catch insects or lizards or frogs. He loves to play basketball and football, and almost always plays with kids twice his size. He holds his own! He also gets sooo dirty. I have to rinse the tub or shower out bc there is usually a ring of dirt when he gets out.
He could care less about reading himself, but loves to be read to and loves his Yoto player.
He is still a big Jaguars/Trevor Lawrence fan.
He took his first plane ride at 6.5 and flew out west. We hiked Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon and he rocked it. He did so great, and we did some big hikes! I was so proud of his lack of complaining and not asking to be on shoulders! Navajo Loop, Buckskin Gulch slot canyons, Scout Lookout, and the Narrows in very cold water!
He wants a dog soooo bad! He loves other peoples dogs!
He makes us laugh, sometimes makes us crazy, and we can't imagine life without him. What a gift he is!

Bowen: 9 year old interview
Sunday, January 14, 2024
Bowen: 9 years old
Bowen is 58 pounds and 4 foot 3 inches (28th percentile for both).
He took his first plane ride this year! We went to Utah and visited 3 national parks and hiked lots! He loved it and did great!
He loves to lift weights and check out his arm muscles in the mirror :)
He is our little worker. Loves to have a job... especially yard work!
He's a hard worker, but our messiest, disorganized, irresponsible child. Just throws his stuff wherever, leaves drawers open, leaves a trail wherever he goes.
We've had some police things lately going on around us and they definitely bring our extra fear and anxiety in him. He's already anxious about sirens and police, and these events haven't helped.
He's come a long way this year in reading and behavior. He's def still behind, but making great progress. And we are working on some basic vision therapy tools that I think are helping.
He took his first plane ride at 8.5 and flew out west. We hiked Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon and he rocked it. He did so great, and we did some big hikes!
He loves anything that matches Chad or times he gets to be with Chad. He wants to be just like him and hopes he passes his Toyota Corolla to him as his first car.
We think his current thing is basketball shoes. He seems to have a thing for collecting them.
He still says some funny things... Giesel for diesel gas, and if he wants a mint, he asks if he can have a "breath freshener".
We are so thankful for our Bo!

Miller: 6 years old
Our baby is SIX! Six feels like such a shift for me from little boy to bigger kid. Miller is still very much the baby in so many ways.
He still loves to be held (though that's getting harder). Birth order fascinates me because Grayson was never held at 5 or 6.
He currently loves his 2 smallest stuffed animals (Tiny Reggie and Little Bucky), he loves anything in small "baby" form, to ride his bike, playing outside, playing football, listening to his yoto
Life with Miller is never dull! He keeps us laughing and on our toes. He is a JOY to us!
