Charleston/ SummerLINK debrief

We enjoyed traveling to Charleston to be a part of the SummerLINK debrief. It's always so fun to see people and neat hearing how the Lord has worked all over the world. The weather looked like a lot of rain for the few days we were there, but it ended up being pretty good. And we never got caught in any of the downpours.

We checked in on Friday and walked around the city a bit before the kickoff meal and celebration time. We took the boys to lots of the famous touristy things since this was their first time there. (Grayson went (here) when he was about 18 months).  We walked the boys A LOT these days, and they did so well. I can't believe I debated whether or not to bring the double stroller, I was so glad we had it!
This post could also be called "all the places Miller napped".
not impressed by rainbow row...
Bowen loving his swag box. He insisted he wear the (mens) socks and hat on Saturday....
Saturday morning farmers market
The boys and I played and walked around during the Saturday morning meetings...
King of Pops...
they loved visiting the carriage barn stables! we even went back a second time another day
hotel life (they think staying at a hotel is just the most fun)
they also really loved the bridge
beach afternoon
Shortly after this pic we had a crazy experience with Miller. I'm thankful that Alex and Abbey were calm in my moments of crazy, where he stopped breathing. The best we can figure out, he got splashed by a wave in the face and it triggered a "breath holding spell" (this term is new to me). I may or may not have turned to the very crowded beach and screamed "help!!" as loud as I could. I don't react well in panic situations... He was fine, but it was scary.
We ate at some good restaurants...
Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream
Miller trying to pick up all the "balls" was cracking us up
Clemson team. G and B have so much fun with some of these guys...
swimming at the hotel pool was a highlight for them
3 for 3 on the way home is always a welcomed sight!

Charleston

I met Chad in Charleston (following his staff retreat) for Logan and Heather's wedding weekend. Art and Cindy came to Clemson and kept Grayson and Bowen... Miller joined us in Charleston since he was only 2 weeks old :) It's amazing how perspective (3rd child) changes things. Chad and I felt like the weekend was so relaxed and easy only having Miller with us. He doesn't have to be entertained, doesn't move around and sleeps all the time. Seems so easy compared to a busy 2 and 4 year old! But we did miss our busy boys :)

The wedding being in Charleston gave us a little mini get-a-way and we enjoyed the time together. We shopped, ate, walked around, and rested lots. We were also able to attend Centerpoint Church on Sunday morning.
Logan and Heather got married on the USS Yorktown. Such a cool venue!
Fun fact about Collective Coffee Company... we found out we were pregnant with Bowen at that coffee shop 3 years before.
Poor baby wasn't feeling his outfit
