These pictures are from playing outside on an evening while dinner was baking. There are so many little things in them that describe our boys right now.
Grayson's love of his t-ball jersey and tall socks. And his love for Miller.
Bowen bouncing around from one thing to the next... he's a wild man lately!
Miller content wherever we put him and trying to chew on anything he can.
I hope I never forget these simple little times playing in our backyard!
It's been about 9 months since I documented a typical day. I decided to do it last week and picked Monday, March 7. This is a typical Monday around the Ferrell house these days documented by my phone. Except that it was beautiful outside (sunny and around 70!) and we spent so much time outside which always makes for a fun, easier day :)

These are just my most favorite days. They can be hard and long, but I love them so much! And these posts don't capture the chaotic and crazy moments. But those are in there too!
At 7:00am, Grayson was calling from his bed. He needed to go potty. Bowen cried out at 7:15 and was wet (as he is often, I need to get him overnight diapers) so he got an outfit change. We all found Chad in his morning spot. He'd been there since about 6:00.
Around 7:30 we started getting breakfast stuff ready. Chad made his coffee and fixed some eggs for himself and Grayson (the kind with the juice... fried eggs)
We typically read lots of books in the morning. Grayson picked out lots of Easter books on this day. Bowen even got a book and backed up into Chad's lap to read. This was new for him, he's not interested in sitting still for a story.
The boys shot at some squirrels out back with the BB gun.
8:15- We played for a few minutes, talked about our days, small group for the night, called Nana to sing her happy birthday and then Chad went to change clothes for work.
8:45- Chad left for work and I took this timelapse video of about 5 minutes of our morning. Lest you think from pictures that life is still and calm. Don't be deceived!
9:00- We put Bowen down for a morning nap. G played with legos while I went and took a shower.
10:15- got Bowen up and got the boys dressed for the day
10:30- Lauren came over and we took the boys to a park that's close. It was a beautiful day!
12:30- Made some quesadillas and we ate lunch (notice that G likes to change into his "comfy clothes" the minute we get home)
1:15- We went back outside for a little while. I talked to Tara on the phone for a bit, swept the carport and talked to a neighbor while the boys played.
1:45-Got the boys ready and down for a nap. We read a little in one of G's current favorite books and on this particular day Bowen was feeling a tiny bit snuggly.
2:00- they were both out
and here is Chad around 2:00- back from his lunch break of playing ball, working in his office, twinning with Will
2:05- I tackled the dishes and then made some phone calls to change and schedule different appointments
2:30- I read for a little bit in my new fav spot, put away the never ending laundry, then sat down with something sweet and rested and enjoyed the quiet.
3:30- Bowen woke up. He wakes up mad. Every day. He's fine the minute you pick him up.
3:45- Bowen helped me sweep the kitchen. It amazes me how quickly it can get dirty. He insisted on his own broom and wearing Grayson's hat. He can't talk at all, but can communicate exactly what he wants.
4:00- Bowen with two of his current favorites. This train book and his toothbrush.
4:00- G had just gotten up and the boys helped make after nap smoothies.
4:10- smoothies and a snack. Dinner was later than normal this night and I knew they would need something to hold them over.
4:15 Kelsey came over and we went for a walk
4:45- stopped in Walmart on our walk for a few things we needed. We love walking to the Walmart neighborhood market and do it a few times each week.
5:00 Daddy's home! Always a highlight for all of us
5:30- we went for a family walk
6:00- played outside for a little while more
6:30- Chad cooked the meat for tacos. We had a meal with our small group this night. We provided the meat and everyone brought all the stuff for tacos.
6:45- G played with legos while we got dinner stuff together for our group and Bowen whined a lot and wanted to be held. The time before dinner is typically his crankiest.
7:15- our small group had all gotten here and we were eating tacos together.
8:00- I took the boys to put them to bed shortly after our group started meeting.
8:15- the boys were in bed and we talked about Mark 10 together
10:00- the last of our small group leaves. Chad and I pick up a few things around the house. Chad gets his stuff ready to leave early in the morning (on Tuesdays he leaves at 5:45am)
10:15- watch an episode of 'the Office' and fall asleep
