Y,all, this post has like 60 pictures. yikes! It's long... you've been warned!
We had the BEST time on our Panama City Beach trip the last week of September. A couple in our church generously offered us their condo, and so we headed to Florida for our first family vacation. I'll say, I had pretty low expectations for how things might go. I wanted to be realistic... a long road trip, the beach by ourselves with no extra adults, a 5 month old... but this trip surpassed them all! We loved it and made such great memories!
Dare I say the 8 hour car ride days were even fun?? All three boys were great travelers there and back.
We arrived on Sunday night and the boys were just giddy!
And then we woke up to this view!
We would spend time at the beach and at the pools/splash pads each day.
I mean, can a 4 year old look more relaxed? We loved the balcony!
On Tuesday morning we decided to walk to the donut shop. It ended up being about 2 miles and the boys walked the whole way! Our family is serious about some donuts :)
so many dolphins during the week! so fun to watch!
nap time views...
I listened to some great podcasts during the week
Tuesday night walk down to the beach...
Wednesday morning view
On Wednesday morning we headed to gulf world. We had a date to swim with the dolphins! We met a family in line behind us who had been at seminary when Chad was and they ended up holding Miller for us while we had our dolphin time.
The gulf world photographers got some great "standard" dolphin pics (the dolphin kissing you, hugging the dolphin, all those...) but they were CRAZY expensive so we passed on buying them, but they were so cute! I jumped out of the pool with Bowen at the end to get Miller from the family and grabbed these real quick of the last dolphin interactions...
Thursday evening we went to Pier Park to walk around and then to dinner. We mostly made meals at the condo, but went out to dinner twice... and donuts 3 mornings :)
and then we packed up and headed back to SC. We stopped at a random, janky looking donut shop that was right on the road on the way home and it was delicious!
A wonderful week and wonderful memories made! It was such a gift!
