For the past 2 years, we've done a play group once a week with a couple of other families here. Y'all, it's been the best thing. We rotate who hosts it, and only the mom who is hosting stays and keeps the kids, so essentially you're one week on and two weeks off. There are so many reasons why it's been great... kiddos playing and learning together, they're learning to share toys and be a good host, it's free, a couple mornings a month "free" for mom, I could go on and on... I would highly recommend something like this to anyone! And I'm so thankful for my friends/like-minded moms who are pouring into and loving on my boys each week. They are a blessing and encouragement in this season of raising littles!
This year, we decided to step up the learning and teaching and make it a little more structured. We are working on letters and "school" stuff like sitting and listening, raising your hand, walking in a line and little things like that. Each week is reinforcing some of the stuff I'm working on with G at home too. It's been so fun!
"Back to school" fun!
my favorite students :)
Can you even believe how little they were when we first started playgroup?! Crazy!
Here are some pictures from preschool last week where we were learning about the letter B.
This is my most favorite kind of teaching... small class size, no paper work, learning through play, and fun activities :)
We used our Binoculars on a nature walk to look for B things... we found Butterflies, Birds, Bugs, Basketballs, Bushes, Bicycles and more!
B lunch: Bear Bread, Broccoli, Bananas, Blueberries
Excited to watch these kiddos learn and grow over the year!
