Last weekend, we enjoyed a chilly, fun morning out by the Eastatoe River fishing and playing. Then we went across the street and hiked a little along the Palmetto Trail. It was a beautiful day and the leaves were gorgeous!

Chad had an unexpected day off on Monday so he decided it would be the perfect morning to do a little fishing. We all headed out to the river after breakfast.  

Chad tried to get Grayson to pet/touch a fish he caught. Grayson was hesitant and not moving any closer.

 Then the fish started doing what fish out of water do and starting flopping around like crazy. Grayson freaked out! And rightfully so, the fish slapped up against his legs and left fish blood all over him from where Chad had hooked him. yuck! 

This was right before the fish jumped on Grayson...

 Chad went off down the river and we stayed and played on the rocks for a while. I think Grayson could've spent all day just throwing stuff in the water and playing in little puddles. I love watching him explore the outdoors!

So thankful that my husband invites and wants us to tag along on his fishing trips!
