mothers day

It's crazy to me that this was my fourth mothers day. Crazy! 

With my 2 sweaty boys who had been running around after church... 

It can be a struggle... 

After lunch and naps we headed out to the Eastatoe River to do a little hiking and fishing. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon/evening.

the rock climbing was harder for me with stuff in my hands and a kid, so Chad took both kiddos on the way back and I took the stuff...

and then we met some friends at TCBY later that evening

It was a sweet day. I'm thankful to be a Mom... it's my dream job :) 

my first mother's day

It was a joy to get to celebrate mother's day this year. Sometimes I still can't believe that I am a mom. I am so proud and blessed to be Grayson's mom. I hope G grows up seeing that I love Jesus, the Gospel and people more than things of this world. My prayer is that I live out the Gospel each day so that he may come to know Jesus. What a weighty responsibility!  

Chad and G, my parents and in-laws all gave me little gifts to make me feel special. 

And apparently Grayson has the same taste in cards that his daddy has. Maybe he had some help? (Rach- remember all of Chad's folders and notebooks in highschool? This card made me think of those :)

We hit up the last day of Starbucks happy hour and took a walk around the lake to end the day.

We are so, so thankful for our Moms. For the sacrifices they have made. For how much they love, encourage and support us. For listening to us and giving us advice. For coming to visit us on the other side of the world... and for so much more!

The Graduate

Beware, lots of pictures!

Scott graduated from UNC on Mother's Day yesterday. It was a gorgeous day and not too hot, a nice 70 degrees. It could have been pretty miserable. He graduated with two degrees, one in Sociology and one in Religious Studies....but he will start seminary in the Fall.
