a Saturday walk

Chad was working on Saturday morning, so the boys and I headed out on a long walk around the neighborhood. Since it was the weekend, we walked across to the elementary school and played on some of their play equipment. Grayson loves to do this! 

We sure missed Chad, but it was a fun morning watching the boys play and enjoying time outside. I'm so thankful for simple, sweet mornings like this!

I love that we can walk to the school or to the grocery store. It's one of our favorite things about where we live!

When there is a warm, January day, it is a must to get outside! I love how these days get me excited about Springtime. Grayson is really starting to be able to play at a playground more and more. He climbed all over the equipment and amazed us at his fearlessness to dive right down the slides. He started off on the small slides, but worked his way on up to larger ones.

It is just lovely outside these days! I try to get us outside as much as possible. Today we took a lunch picnic to a park we had never been to and then let Grayson explore the playground (as much as you can at 10 months). 

And we threw in a stop for some fro-yo on the way home. We tried the pumpkin and also the salted caramel. Delicious!
