It was such a beautiful day on Saturday that Chad and I couldn't resist finding somewhere to go to get outside. We both love being outdoors and have been really ready for it to warm up. When we lived in Boone, we went out on the parkway or to Trout Lake or somewhere almost every Sunday when is was warm. We didn't really know a good spot to go around here. We always drive across Falls Lake on our way to Durham so we decided to try to find a spot around there. We ended up in an area called Beaverdam and we absolutely loved it. It was a very family-friendly place and such a huge area that we were able to find a place where we were kind of away from everyone. Chad was able to hang up his eno hammock for the first time that he got for Christmas. He was so excited about using it that he hung it up the night before from the street light to a tree in front of our townhouse (Ashley and Adam got to witness his silliness). Needless to say, this was much more enjoyable than hanging from the lamp post by the road.
We took a picnic lunch and stayed out by the lake for about 3 1/2 hours. It was so great! Thanks for the fun picnic stuff Lindsay, Bryn and Alee!
