a looonnng week

This past week Chad was in Atlanta and Peru with my Dad all week preparing for the upcoming trip this June/July. I'm glad he was able to go, plan and learn about the trip and area but I was less than thrilled about being home alone. I am proud to say I made it through! I had already planned to come stay the weekend in Durham with my Mom since she was alone too. The snow forecast made all the more reason to come to Durham because who wants to be snowed in all alone?! Tucker came home as well, so we enjoyed spending the weekend together. First, let me take a minute and say how much I am thankful for technology and things like Skype. It is so neat that we were able to talk to Chad and Dad even when they were in the depths of the jungle!
Tuck, Mom and I ventured out on Saturday for a little while
It was pretty relaxing to be snowed in. We watched lots of movies, drank lots of coffee, Mom made soup and fun desserts... it was pretty lazy around here! *Thanks Mom for letting me spend the weekend with you!
and now I am THRILLED to go get my wonderful husband (and my great Dad) from the airport in about 3 hours. YAYYYYYYY!!!!! It worked out pretty nice to have a snow day today because now I can be at RDU to greet them when they fly in.

I thought about you being alone in the big storm! I'm glad you got to have some QT with your Mom and brother, and still get some time with Chad while you're off work... which will probably be a couple of days :)

Soooo thankful to have spent this weekend with you & Tuck- can't imagine it alone. Had fun with the movies, coffee, walk in the snow, sharing computer conversations! I am so blessed that you are my daughter.
