Boone

We were able to get away to Boone for a couple days this week. We planned our little trip a couple weeks ago and we have been really excited about it. We had a list of things we wanted to do and just hoped time and weather would allow it all. As soon as we got up the mountain we went to one of Chad's favorite fishing spots.

I enjoyed watching/ being on the gorgeous river/laying in the sun...

Our good friends the Brown's let us stay in their home and we enjoyed catching up and spending time with them (oh, and eating at our favorite Mexican restaurant Los Arcoiris)

We went to Stick Boy (another favorite) on Friday morning and got coffee and a cream cheese cinnamon roll.

One of our favorite things in Boone is driving on all of the backroads that wind all over the place. They are gorgeous and we always pass new places and areas that are fun to see.

We spent some time on the parkway Friday morning.

We also walked around campus for a little while. I know they built a lot while we were there, but it is AMAZING what all they have built since I left only 2.5 years ago.

In the picture below we were sitting outside the new cafeteria.

We met Dave for lunch at Macados and he showed up on his new motorcyle.

On our way out we stopped to visit with the Critchers. They are so special to us and it was great to spend time with them. We have such wonderful memories from our time in Boone and it is so great to go back.
