For the past month or so we have been studying weather in the 2nd grade. To conclude the unit I contacted ABC 11 and meteorologist Chris Hohmann agreed to come speak to our students.
We gathered all 85 2nd graders into my classroom for the event.
Mr. Hohmann was a WONDERFUL speaker and the kids were so well behaved and respectful for the hour long session. That is amazing for 7 and 8 year olds! He was very impressed with what our students knew about weather.

He even gave Long Mill 2nd grade a shout-out on the 5:30 news last night. He also showed a little clip of our students. How fun!

Hey, speaking of meeting a celebrity - Bev had to go to a training class last week and said she saw Kid Rock in the Chilis while they were out to dinner. (The waitress had to tell her who he was ;)
