A couple of weeks ago we went to the sarafa bazaar for a night of eating. Sarafa is the jewelry market during the day, but at night the streets are lined with food vendors. Thankfully, Mukti and Abhishek joined us and were able to show us around and tell us about and order us a lot of the traditional favorites.
Mukti and Amy eating panipuri ( I can best describe it as a liquid filled ball)
At a dosa stand
Amy, Mukti and me
Chad enjoying his bag of noodles
(Please note, he still holds his pinky out. He is proper even when he eats street food.)
This was a very interesting fruit paste (kabeet ki chatni) that I would be totally ok with if I never tried again. It was really different, but what I thought was more interesting was how they served it to us.
Abhishek enjoying his rose, masala flavored slushy
If you know me, you know that I am NOT an adventurous eater... while my husband will try ANYTHING. This was right up his alley!
