Back to India

I'm not going to lie, coming back to our city after being gone for a month was a bit hard. The anticipation of it was the worst part. I had built it up in my head and gotten myself anxious about it. Not sure why! It was not that bad- praise God. I just knew that I was going to have to face some things I wasn't thrilled about. Riding our scooter again, going past the scene of the accident, going to all of the places we had planned to take my family and didn't get to, picking up some of the bloody clothes still laying on the floor in our bedroom...

BUT one of the things that made me excited to go home was knowing that all of the things my parents had brought over were just waiting to be opened! In the hour that we were here, my Mom had gotten all of the stuff together that they had brought over for us in one big pile and when we got back from our meeting, we were going to go through it all together. Christmas for us! Well, that never happened. When Chad, Gray and I went to pack all of their things later that night, we were able to just pack their bags and we just left the pile that we were going to come home to later that night. We knew coming back that we had some fun stuff just waiting for us to go through. We also had some fun packages and mail.
One of Chad's favorites, his new scooter riding goggles...
The Stewart family sent us such a fun, thoughtful stocking full of stuff. These (along with the sweet cards) were some of our favorites from it... Kim, you are SOO thoughtful!!! I've already put that glue gun to good use.
We waited and opened our big trunk of stuff until we could skype with my family. So we woke up early (for me) on Friday morning to catch them before they went to bed Thursday night.

p.s. when we got back, it was REALLY cold! and we don't have heaters, we've been piling on the layers and blankets. All to soon though, it will be HOT!
so much fun stuff from our families that we are so thankful for!
It took me a couple of days to get all of the grocery stuff put away. I had to keep rearranging our shelves to make room. A fun problem to have!
We are very well stocked on candy... at least for a few weeks (and that's not all of it!)
Huge, HUGE thanks to both of our families, Brooke, Meghan, Deana, Jordan, Stewart family, Mrs. Cline and others for being so thoughtful and sweet even though we are so far away. We felt so loved!!

I bet it was hard to come home! I am glad that you guys have each other. We are "thinking" of you often. Your accident has really made me more aware of what all you guys so near to my heart and yet so far away are dealing with. Love you bunches.

Love where you're stashing the candy. Who needs 3 baskets for fruits and veggies anyway?? ;)
