Holi is one of the Spring festivals celebrated here. It is the festival of colors and people throw colored powders at/on each other. It is a time where people have fun together and social structures aren't quite as strict. I had been excited about this one! We ended up being in Goa over Holi so we missed seeing it here at our home (where we've heard it gets crazy!). Between meetings on Holi (March 8), we took a walk to try to see a bit of the Holi celebrating.
We've seen lots of places on the roads where it is obvious there were color wars.

Amy got ambushed on our walk! A guy ran right up to her and colored her. It went all over her!
It's been funny to see people around town this week who are ALL stained with colors. It's quite obvious they had lots of Holi fun.
