making the rounds

I feel like we have really made our rounds of trying to see friends, visit places and eat some of our favorite things. We have thoroughly enjoyed being home, being with our family, and seeing our friends. Last week was no different, we were a bit all over the place... but it was a great week. We are just a little worn out today :) We started out Monday morning driving to North Myrtle Beach to hang out with the Browns for a couple days. Kenny and Jessie were spending a vacation week there and invited us to come join for some beach fun. We loved spending time hanging out and catching up... and of course enjoyed being at the beach!

Kenny and Chad threw the football for a bit, but of course it ended in them just standing in the ocean talking. This is very similar to how their "swimming" went in college... I don't think they ever swam very many laps.
Then we packed up and headed west to Sumter to visit the Harpers. It was so great to see their lives there and spend time with them. We ate lots of good food, talked about so much and reminisced with videos from highschool :)
I'm not sure I can imagine not having Rachel in the same season of life I am :) It's really all we've ever known since we were about 12!
32 weeks for me and 20 weeks for Rach
Then on Saturday we headed to Boone for the day with the Ferrells. We got to finally see Eric (and his dorm). We hit up all of our favorite places in Boone and had a great time.
Chad didn't catch any fish, but I'm pretty sure it did his heart good just to be in the river for a bit.
Not too bad to hit the beach and mountains all within a week!
