Grayson: 7 months

7 months old!

Grayson generally sleeps from about 8:30- 7:15. Although a few nights this month he has woken up around 4:30 and fusses for a bit. He takes a morning and an afternoon nap and I think he has become a better napper this month. 

He weighs about 19 pounds. 

Size 3 diapers. 9-12 month clothes.

G still nurses 4 times a day and then he eats cereal (and yogurt or banana) around 9:30 and we've started giving him a 2nd meal around 6:00. This solid food thing is so learn as you go! I guess maybe we will change to 3 meals a day soon?

New foods: sweet potato, avocado, banana, yogurt, carrots, a few puffs (he acts like he's choking when he tried them, so I haven't given him any more), and a few licks of a popsicle thanks to Papa :)  

Grayson is such an easy-going little guy. He is pretty content whether he naps or not, if it's been a while since he ate or if we are running him all over the place. We are so thankful for this!

He got his 2 bottom teeth right at 6.5 months old. It didn't seem to bother him at all. He just had lots of extra drool. 

He is sitting up great and rarely falls over anymore. Just yesterday he looked like he was going to push himself from all 4's to a sitting position, but couldn't quiitttte get it. 

He is so close to crawling. He improves each day. About a week ago, he started really dragging himself with his arms, and then a few days later he started getting up on all 4's and rocking a bit. I think any day now he'll just crawl away. He can definitely move/inch across the floor and get to whatever he sets his eyes on.

G is talking (babbling) so much more. He doesn't make many repetitive sounds yet. A few "ba's". Although he hears us say "ma ma ma ma ma" and "da da da da da" a lot :) He also squeals a lot.

His hair is coming in more. It looks pretty blond for now. 

He started opening and closing his hands and staring at them while he does it. 

He is clapping (sometimes) when we say "yayyyyyy" and clap our hands. 

He loves to pull stuff out. He has enjoyed pulling all his toys out of his bucket, or all the stuff out of his diaper bag.

He's had a blocked tear duct in his left eye. It got really watery for a few days this month and then has been better since then. We think it is all cleared up. So thankful!

G is such a sweaty kid. This summer heat does not bode well for him.

I know I probably say it every month, but he just brings us so much JOY and we love being his parents!
