On Sunday morning, the Ferrells dropped us off with my parents and we spent Sunday to Wednesday at Sunset beach. I. love. Sunset. Beach. My family has spent a week at Sunset for as long as I can remember. I think something like 25 years. My cousins and I have soooo many fun memories from that island. For the past ten years or so, it is rare that even half of the (original) 7 cousins are there. This year it just so happened that both of my brothers were there. It's been 5 years since the 3 of us were there together.
Sunset beach is a HUGE beach. So great. There is so much space and it is such a family beach. I love that there is nothing to do there but get ice cream, ride bikes, take walks and look at houses.
Here is PHOTO-OVERLOAD of our days there.
The past few years, they've been taking a photo and video for the NC State "this is our state" campaign.
an awkward shot of Chad trying to get Tucker to carry him in the Ergo...
Danielle took a few family photos for us.
Scott dug Grayson a hole on Monday morning.

I love mornings rocking and talking on the porch.
So much space to explore...
I love all of the little tide pools at Sunset. Perfect for Grayson.
The cousins that made it to the first half of beach week this year. Bryn came for a couple days at the end.
Lindsay and I twinning in our beach coverups :)
exploring everything and everywhere
There were 14 people in the beach house, and Grayson got his own room. The laundry room that is. Perfect spot for him. He also started standing up in the pack and play all the time while we were there. Now how is he supposed to fall asleep if he is standing up, peering over the edge, crying for us to come get him?
Such a sad little face...
Knowing it was our last day, G tried to get as much sand in his belly as he could.
One of the common positions to find G in...
We left the hotel in Boston at 3:30am to fly down to the beach. We were thinking Grayson would sleep the whole way and we would have a full day at the beach. Grayson was wide awake and it was hard to keep his squirmy little body contained for the short 1.5 hour flight. We were a little nervous on the way back because it was late flight. We got back to the hotel around 1:30am and thankfully G slept and did great.
So thankful to get to vacation with each of our families.

Great pictures! Scott has a pretty impressive sun burn going on there. :)
Love all the pictures. Love that you love Sunset and have such good family memories there. Love that G now has a part of those memories too. So thankful you were able to come this summer!
Looks like you had a lot of fun! I love the family pictures. I hope you guys are doing well and adjusting to Boston!
Looks like so much fun! I can't wait to go to the beach. I feel so deprived.
1) Love the look on your face when Chad is trying to ride in the ergo.
2) I would love to know how Scott got such an interesting sunburn.
3)What a sad little face when G isn't feeling his nap. I bet that works every time!
4) We have the same bathing suit with the little surf boards :)
