Grayson: 8 months

Ohhhh this month was the hardest yet to get the standard monthly picture of G. And I even had reinforcements helping. Between me, Chad, Nana, Papa and Uncle Eric, this is as good as it got... Little boy wants to be moving!
My guess is he is about 20 pounds.

Size 3 diapers and 9-12 month clothes.

Sleep. ohhhh sleep. It is hard to have his sleeping patterns go in reverse. He has woken up at least once during the night for the past few weeks and usually twice. He goes back to sleep quickly after I pick him up or feed him. It's hard because we don't want him crying in the middle of the night (you're welcome, hotel rooms around us). And feeding him gets him right back to sleep, but I know I'm creating a bad habit...

He is napping better. He usually takes about an hour and a half nap in the morning and afternoon. But he does pretty well if we skip a nap or if he only takes a 30 minute stroller nap.

G has 3 teeth that have poked through up top. All 3 at the same time! He has a total of 5 now.

You would not believe the comments we get about him looking like his daddy. Strangers will stop us on the street. We hear it all. the. time. I love it.

He has been giving out a cheesin' face to whoever will look his way.

He is a HAM. He will stare at people until they pay him some attention and then will cheese it up. He loves attention. yikes...
Grayson is such a wiggle worm and so, so busy!

G is crawling all over the place. At the beginning of the month, he would get up on all fours and kind of throw his body forward to get where he wanted. But right at 7.5 months, he began legit crawling. He gets faster everyday and his little knees stay red.
I posted this video on facebook. This is right when he started crawling.

G is all over the place and into everything. Nothing is safe. He goes straight for the trashcans, shoes, cords and is climbing all over everything.
He started pushing himself to sitting up. It was so strange the first time I found him just sitting up in his pack and play after his nap.

G is pulling up mostly to his knees, but each day he gets to his feet a few more times. I found him standing up in the pack and play for the first time a few days ago.

He realized this month that when we feed him (ok, mostly when I feed him), there is extra around his mouth and he started licking around his lips between bites.

G started waving a lot more (especially on the elevator at our hotel, as soon as the doors open he starts waving. He gets disappointed when it is empty).

"Home" has been all over the place this month and it hasn't phased him.

He is "talking" a lot- mostly "ba ba ba" and "ma ma ma". We think we heard a few "da da da's" the other day.

He is a great eater and eats everything we give him. He has even come around to avocado. New foods: plums, mango (a fav for sure), watermelon, applesauce, squash, peas... and I'm sure more that I can't think of

Loves: riding in the stroller, everyone paying him attention, bathtime, the beach

Firsts: playing in the sand at the beach, long car ride (18 hrs), fever, seizure, ambulance ride, medicine

Some randoms from this month...
He is such a happy boy and we are so thankful he is ours!

My favorite has to be the picture with Puffy! After so many years - still bringing comfort! Love this little guy so much - and his parents too!

I love all the G updates. I can't wait to see him crawl in person! And my fave's - that he eats the extra food around his mouth in between bites, and that he waves to everyone on the elevator. We can relate to both :)
