Grayson: 14 months

Grayson is still in size 3 diapers and wearing 12-18 month clothes.

He has a huge appetite and I think he eats more than I do. not even kidding. He started drinking apple juice and he still eats about anything.

He rarely is still and he is not a cuddly little boy, but I think he's gotten a little bit snugglier this month. He has started snuggling into me as I put him down before bed.

We use the word "obey" a lot these days.
This past month, he started bringing us books and then backing up to sit in our laps to read them to him. Rarely will he sit thru the entire story before he is up to get another book and repeat the routine again.

We have practiced lots of words this month. Grayson is really good about trying to repeat what we say (although often it sounds nothing like the word, but he is good at mimicking the tone). Just this past week, I have been trying to teach him the "sh" sound and after watching me do it a few times, he started doing it. Now we try to get him to say "shoes" and the sound he makes sounds like a sneeze.

We have "moved" again this month. We are still living in the same house, but we now live in the upstairs of it. Thankfully sleeping all over the place never seems to phase Grayson.

G loves pressing buttons.

A big change during this month has been climbing. He is a determined little guy and I love watching him try over and over again to get in a chair. We have been reminding him to go down "feet first" off of couches, chairs, stairs... but he has flipped over a chair and fallen off several stools.

He learned to smile on command and find his belly button and nose this month.

He often puts his hands up in the air when he wants to know something like "what?" or "where?". He makes an "uhh?" sound as he does it.
"Where did the ball go?"
His 12 month molars are currently breaking through. He has 4 huge knots in his gums and his upper left  broke thru on Thursday and his bottom right broke thru today. Those things are huge! We can tell they have caused him some discomfort. On days when he is teething bad, his cheeks turn bright red by the end of the day. Who knew that was a teething symptom!?

G loves to be outside.
He has amazed us with how much he is comprehending. We can tell him to "sit down" or "go get a book". If we say "do you want to take a bath?", he walks to the bathroom door. Or if I say "go get your water bottle" he will look around and find it. It's amazing to me!

He says "mama" all day long. He loves to go up to pictures of me and point and say "mama!"

Grayson is such a little performer and he eats up all of the attention.

He thinks it is hilarious to bang his head into things. He will bang it and say "boom!" and laugh and laugh.

He's getting so big - and smart! It's amazing how much they soak up isn't it?

How cute that he puts his arms in the air when he's asking "Where?" I think I too will be amazed when Nolan starts comprehending things we say!
