Putting a swing set in our backyard was not something that was on our agenda/radar... but when I saw someone post an ad for one on a neighborhood website, I was intrigued. They said it was free, the people just had to come pick it up. I emailed the lady and we went to check it out. It needed a little (or a lot) of love, but I thought there was potential. The Ferrells were coming into town the next weekend and I signed them up to make moving this the weekend project :)
Art, Eric and Chad got it all taken apart and moved and then I went to work pressure washing it. Pressure washing it made so. much. difference. The wood is in good shape, it was just dirty.
After pressure washing the swing set on the driveway, I pretty much had no choice but to do the driveway because the marks it left were pretty bad. I never knew our driveway was so dirty!
It stayed like this for a little while, and then we recently got around to finishing a few projects.
Mom made us a new tent for it.
We went along with this and created a rock box underneath.
Can anybody think of anything less dorky to put on the chalkboard? ;)
For less than $100 that we've put into it, I hope the boys will be able to enjoy it for a few years. And it gives us swings! Our yard had no trees to put a swing in, so that's a win!
