Our little Bowen is 14 months today!
It's kind of a golden birthday... 14 months on the 14th :)
He has 8 teeth in the front and all 4 molars coming in, but none of them are in all the way. They come in soooo slow and I think they cause him some pain.
Bowen still takes 2 naps, but is fine if he only gets an afternoon one. It think we will transition to 1 nap over the next month. He still wakes up mad every time.
He really doesn't say much. But he let's us know what he wants/ doesn't want. He's perfected the point and grunt "uhhh" this month.
Bowen spent his first nights away from me this month.
He started shaking his head "no" just last week. He will point to something on the table and we will say "this?" and he will shake no.
He likes to give kisses and blow kisses "mmmmm-ma"
He squeals so much (happy and upset squeals) and it is so loud. We are trying to teach him to stop this. I continue to try to teach him "please" in sign language, but he's pretty stubborn.
He has started getting a book and backing up to sit in a lap, but he won't sit to listen to even a short story.
He's still loving shoes. He loves to bring us shoes to put on him or just play with shoes.
He loves his brother.
He's never had a single hard day in the nursery, but over the past month he cries when we drop him off. Thankfully, he calms down really quick after we leave.
He has no fear and has had some close calls this month. There have been a few days where I put him to bed thankful that he only had a few scratches and bruises. I've caught him from walking right off a tall play structure, so many times from tumbling down our brick patio stairs, from rolling down a bank into the river, and scooped him up after being kicked by walking in front of a swing.
He's still a great eater and eats so much.
