Durham

The boys and I roadtripped to Durham while Chad spent time in India. We stopped a few times to stretch our legs and for potty breaks. Shopping with them is always an adventure!
We arrived in time for dinner with my Uncle Scott. And he had brought my grandma's dog, Mandy. G loved walking her and taking care of her.
I got to see my little niece or nephew baby bump for the first time. I'm so excited to be an aunt!
donuts at the new Rise and walking around downtown
fun slides at Central park
after Mom and I shopped all day on Monday, we picked up some of our favorite apple fritters. We called to make sure they still had them and he said there were only 4 left. We asked if he could hold them for us and then we laughed about reserving donuts.
Rachel was in town too since Marshall was in Haiti. It was fun to watch Grayson and Lexi have so much fun together.
The Blalocks happened to be in town too! So we met them one afternoon at Little River Park
Another day, another dog
A Nona and Pop Pop's house tradition is finding the "potamas" (as G used to say). It's this huge, heavy wooden hippopotamus that my dad bought in Africa. And recently they've added "potamas finding milk" (The best Maple View Farm chocolate milk). They have fun hiding and finding the potamus while we are there. And on this day, they had special hats too...
This summed up Bowen while we were in Durham... he started holding his hands behind his back frequently and he pulled up those white flowers whenever we were outside.
