When students come back to Clemson, things always get busy. The town comes back to life after a slower paced summer. We've had lots of kick-off events and welcome back things (and lots of pizza). It was a fun change of pace to escape town for a while last Friday. We explored some new places and new spots on the Chauga River and enjoyed some quality family time outside.
Grayson and Chad casted a bit while Bowen and I played in the field.
Then we camped out at Chattooga Belle Farm for a while and I'm sure we will be back. We loved it!
We've always heard of it, and knew of lots of weddings and events out there, but had never been. I had no idea all that was out there. And it was gorgeous!
Grayson was excited when they handed him grape cutters and an apple to sample at the farm store.
We weren't really planning to pick any fruit, but their orchards were so pretty and they had so much variety. We spent a while walking all over looking at the figs, persimmons, pears, apples, peaches, grapes... and came home with a bushel of apples (about 46 pounds!) and some delicious grapes.
this is a lot of Chad's favorite things in one picture :)
kiddos, mountains, disc golf (18 hole through the orchards), fresh fruit
splitting an apple slushie after walking all over the place
and a yummy lunch at Belle's Bistro
a little more playing (or break dancing) and we headed out...
Bring on the apple recipes!
