We took a three day road trip to Birmingham over the weekend as a little birthday get-a-way. It also kind of felt like a small (family) babymoon as we had lots of quality time together and the reality that this is probably our last road trip with just the 4 of us. 7 weeks or less!
Scott and Mary were able to meet us there on Friday and we enjoyed seeing the city and getting time with them.
Grayson was so excited to stay at a hotel. The boys think hotel beds are meant to be jumped on :)
Cupcakes aren't enough... we decided to get donuts too...

Mary made me birthday cookies! so sweet!
We were able to get a little time with Krystal on Friday evening and had dinner at Taco Mama.

We hit the Birmingham Zoo on Saturday morning

We tried to see the hippo 3 times. Third times a charm!
lunch at Urban Cookhouse on Saturday and then we said our goodbyes
We were able to stop and spend a little time with the Armfields and their newest little addition on our way out of town
Such a fun 3 days!
