Bowen: 2 and a quarter

He weighs 27 pounds. He wears 2T almost everything and a size 7 shoe. He's still in size 3 diapers.

All four of his 2 year molars came in about a month after he turned 2.
His vocabulary has come a long way in the last month or so. Sometimes I feel that Chad and I are bilingual and the only people who can understand him. Except Grayson- he understands him the best and often will tell us what Bowen is trying to say.

He has really enjoyed books lately- especially Curious George

His cheeks get really rosy.

My goal would be to tackle potty training once we are all adjusted to life with the new baby... and in warm days where we can stay outside most of the day :) Although he's interested in the potty, I don't think he seems too ready to actually make it happen... and I'm not one to rush it.

He loves to spot the letter B and he always exclaims so excitedly "Mama! B Bowen"
Not sure where it came from, but he's convinced this new baby is named "pad thai", it will be interesting to see what he calls him when he is born.

Just in the last few weeks he has started calling us "da-ee" and "ma-ee" instead of dada and mama

He still loves for us to sing him "away in a manger", and asks for it by putting his hands together and swinging them like he's rocking a baby.

He likes sleeping with a blanket and stuffed animal, although he'll periodically change which blanket or stuffed animal he wants.

When he thinks something is funny, he responds in this high pitched, silly voice. Like if we call a spoon a fork, he'll laugh and in a high, silly voice say "mama! no fork!"
Some most common things he says:
"shoot ball goal" when he wants to play basketball
"up dump out" for dumptruck
"me wee it" or "no, me wee it" for I do or don't see it
"dog poop road" an inside joke between him and G :)

I've (unintentionally) passed on my strong opinions about scooter/motorcycle riding without a helmet on to my boys. Here in SC, it's an optional thing. And we live in a small, college town where there are a lot of scooter riders. Currently, every time we see a scooter rider without a helmet on (quite frequently), Bowen yells "mama! no safe!"

He currently loves running to G's bed before naps, our pad thai Tuesdays, digging in dirt, playing outside
He seems to have grown into such a little boy lately. But (at least for a few more days), he's still my baby!
