We really had a great couple of days in Delhi! I was amazed at how much we were able to do and see in such a short amount of time. My parents flew in on Thursday night and then my brothers flew in on Friday night (they had exams to finish up). I'm so glad we were able to squeeze so much stuff in those couple of days!
I like to think of these as the BEFORE pictures....
On Friday, we were able to take my parents around to see some of Delhi.
bicycle rickshaws through Old Delhi
Our taxi driver for the day, Channi, joined us on the rickshaws
Spice Market
On Friday, we were able to see monkeys and an elephant walking down the road. That was fun because they never got to see/meet the elephant that walks around our neighborhood.
Ladies sleeping outside of the Red Fort
My sweet parents with the Red Fort in the background
Meat Market
Love my Mom so much! We didn't end up getting henna together, but we did get matching black eyes together.
in a bangles shop
Mom brought monster cookies
back at the guesthouse
On Saturday, we tried to see a few places before we had to head to the airport to catch our flight to our city.
Family with the India Gate
Snake charmer
Mosque in Lodi Garden
India's version of santa is very strange/creepy. We found Santa standing in the gardens with this guy playing his guitar. We listened to them sing one of my favorite Christmas carols,"the wheels on the bus".
the detail amazes me!!
Can you spot my Dad? Shortly after I snapped this picture, the guards spotted him and took off to make him come down.
So thankful we were able to get so much done in that day and a half. We never got to the rest of our itinerary... though we did do some things and visit some places that we hadn't planned to take my family to.

Love the Before pictures. It was a great trip because we got to see you and spend time with you! So glad you got the Santa picture - Scott never got one of those masks. He has worn his other one and it makes me laugh -which is good these days. So thankful we got to see you and spend time with you in the midst of your time there. You are doing a great work and we are so blessed to be your parents/in-laws. You are so very loved!!!
Yes! The Wheels on the Bus IS one of my favorite Christmas Carols!! Hahaha thats too funny! Glad yall had such a good time when your parents got there! That picture of the snake charmer is crazy! Love you!
Looks like a great time with family. I'm glad you got to see some of Delhi with your family. We did the same bike rickshaw tour of old Delhi and the markets, but most of them were closed on the day we were there.
Have a Happy New Year! (And, get well soon!)
