I have to say that the weekend we spend with these friends getting away somewhere together is one of my favorite weekends of the year (as I was looking back, I realized I say something along those lines at the beginning of each of these posts). This is the third time we went to this beach house together at Oak Island, but we began in 2009 doing a weekend get-a-way...
and now! Fall 2012 Long Beach
The boys fished so much this year. Unlike some of the other years, they actually caught quite a lot! The wives (and Bennett) enjoyed sitting on the porch watching them fish and reel stuff in. We also enjoyed watching dolphins all weekend. I don't know why, but there were so many dolphins swimming around, pretty close to shore. We even saw a couple doing Sea World type jumps out there! It was awesome! You can see a fin out in the water behind the boys in the picture below...
They caught several puffer fish and had fun making them puff up.
I think this picture below is funny... especially with Chad's girly hat and sunscreen face. love him!

Aww, I love all these pics. Made me wish we were still there. And thanks for recapping our past trips with the links - I swear I get all these trips mixed up! (Was that the trip where we passed SAS 3 times? Which trip was the one where Kevin burnt his feet?, etc ;)haha
