Bowen: 6 months

Half a year with Bowen! How can it be!?

and I think we are entering the hard-to-get-a-picture-of-a-moving-baby phase....

Bowen is weighing in around 17 and a half pounds. Size 3 diapers and mostly 12 month clothes. 

We will start some oatmeal/solid foods in the next few days/week or so. We will be traveling a lot over the next 3 weeks and I might try to wait until we get back. Is 6 and a half months too late to start? I don't love the baby food phase...

He has become "Bowie" to Grayson this month. 

He is taking 2 naps most days. He tends to grab a shorter morning nap when he can and then takes a long afternoon nap. If we are home, he takes a long morning and afternoon nap. He seems to be ready for bed around 7:30pm and wakes up around 7 am.... still waking up once at night, but we are working to cut that out. He's been sleeping until 4-6ish before waking up so hopefully we are close to dropping it!

His hair started growing in all of a sudden. It's currently very fuzzy. People who hadn't seen him in 4 days or so would say "oh my goodness! where did all that hair come from!?" It seriously seemed to appear so quickly! 

His bottom left tooth broke through about a week ago. And I think the right one won't be much longer. 

He's not too sturdy when he's sitting up yet... he falls over after a few seconds.

He started getting up on all 4's and rocking a little bit at about 5 and a half months... and then only a few days after he started doing that, he started throwing himself forward, scooting around and trying to crawl. He's into everything these days and gets where and what he wants. I've got to do some rearranging of our bottom shelves.

He is a wiggler and likes to be on the move.

Anything and everything still goes straight to his mouth. 

He is much more interested and content with toys/ playing with stuff these days. It doesn't really matter what it is... I give him my diaper clutch often and he loves pulling at the tags, handle and zipper. 

Bowen gets upset when G takes something out of his hand. It is an instant mad scream!

I said it with Grayson at 6 months and it's the same with Bowen... he seems to be changing SO MUCH right now. It's like all of a sudden one day, he just starts doing something new. This is one of my FAVORITE ages! He is a joy and we are so thankful for his little life!
